Calumet and Stong Colleges Club Affiliation and Space Request Form 2017-2018

If your student club/organization would like to affiliate with Calumet or Stong Colleges and/or is requesting office space or storage space access, the steps below need to be followed and all conditions need to be met. Please note, returning clubs/organizations must also follows this process:

Step 1 Official YU Ratification: You must be an officially recognized student club at York University. This registration process is managed by Student Community and Leadership Development (SCLD). To be fully registered, a club must be ratified by SCLD; successfully completed/submitted their application and attended the Clubs 101 orientation session held by SCLD.

Step 2 Colleges Affiliation: All clubs (new and renewals) wanting to affiliate with the Colleges must complete this form

Step 3 Decision: All completed forms will be reviewed by the College Head's Office. Your organization will be notified with a decision by the end of June.

Step 4 Conditions: If your affiliation and/or space request is approved, your organization's executive members will be required to meet the following conditions in addition to the conditions outlined in the contract:
* attend a Calumet and Stong Colleges Foundational Peer Leadership Training (FPLT) day (9:00 am - 4:00 pm). Please note: ALL executive members of the club will need to attend an FPLT prior to September. Refer to this website to find out when is the next FPLT: http://ccscss.info.yorku.ca/fplt/
* volunteer to help out at York Orientation Day (YOD)
* actively participate in York Orientation Day Volunteer Training Day (August)
* actively participate in York Orientation Day (September)
* each Student Club Executive member is to attend at least 2 events/workshops/focus groups/consultation sessions/Colleges@2020 etc.. per Academic Term (there are 3 terms: Fall, Winter, Summer)
* collaborate with College Head's Office when possible throughout the year (May through April next year)
* submit end of term reports to College Head's Office (May through April Next year)
* In addition to the above, Student Club Presidents/Chairs or their representatives must attend ALL monthly meetings with the College Head (May through April next year)

Step 5 Contract and Access: All affiliated clubs will need to complete the following prior to accessing their space (office or storage):
* Presidents, meet with Office of the College Head staff to review contracts
* Presidents, sign out key for space

Step 6 End of Term: All clubs must clean out the space they have been granted to use (Office and/or Locker) (December and April). All clubs must return keys to the Office of the College Head staff and sign documentation (April)
If a club is returning next year, they will start the process again (Step 1)
