Dr Sarah Barrett Biosketch Dr. Sarah Barrett is a Professor in the Faculty of Education where she has served as Undergraduate Program Director (Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies), Special Advisor to the Dean on Black Inclusion and Anti-Black Racism, and Associate Dean of Academic Programs. In her time as an administrator, she worked collaboratively with Student Services and student groups to enhance, develop, and support various programs designed to create pathways and opportunities that serve students’ varied needs, experiences, and life circumstances. Dr. Barrett’s research focuses on inclusive science education and her latest work is exploring the roles of identity and community in teaching and learning. She is currently serving as the University’s Affirmative Action, Equity, and Inclusion Officer (a joint position with the York University Faculty Association and the Office of the Vice President Equity, People and Culture).
