Please read the following form carefully and follow all instructions.

The candidates will be assessed based on their contributions to Calumet College from the period of Fall Term 2023 to August 2024.

The applications will close on January 29, 2025 at 11:59PM.

The recipients will be contacted in February.


In order to be considered for a Calumet College Award or Bursary you MUST complete the Student Financial Profile (https://sfs.yorku.ca/aid/sfp) AND complete this supplemental application. Failure to complete either will result in the removal of your application from consideration.

Please ensure you meet the eligibility (e.g. GPA, citizenship, etc.) requirements for the award(s) you are applying for or else you will be disqualified.

Calumet College is offering the following awards and bursary:

Calumet College Council 50th Anniversary Award - Award Value: up to $1500

The Calumet College Council 50th Anniversary Award will be awarded to students affiliated with Calumet College, as it currently exists, who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and residents of Ontario, who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a continuing student with a minimum B (6.0) grade point average, who has demonstrated commitment to the Calumet College student body and/or the community.

Calumet College Council Student Life Award - Award Value: $1000

The Calumet College Council established the Student Life Award in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, for students affiliated with Calumet College. This award recognizes an individual who has contributed to the life of Calumet College through showing exemplary values in their leadership and has actively taken part within the community to enrich the lives of students.

Applicants must be affiliated with Calumet College for a minimum of one year by the time of submission, maintain a good academic standing, and demonstrate financial need in their Student Financial Profile.

PLEASE NOTE: Preference will be given to those who have participated and engaged in multiple Calumet College events.


Calumet College Council Bursary - Bursary Value: up to $500

The Calumet College Council established this bursary in 1998. It will be presented annually (selection in the fall) to a Calumet student. The recipient must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, an Ontario resident and demonstrate financial need. Additionally, the recipient will be an active member of Calumet College who was registered in a full course load in the previous year, as a Calumet student, with a minimum grade point average of 5.00 (C+).

  • Applicants MUST submit two (2) Nomination Forms to be considered:

    Each application must be accompanied by two (2) Nomination Forms (NB: The CCC Student Life Award requires only one (1) Nomination) to be completed by the nominator(s). Nominators can be peers, CCSC staff, or professors.

    Please provide the form link to your nominators. You cannot nominate yourself.

    All nomination forms must be submitted by January 13th, 2025 at 11:59pm.

    • Once an award has been granted, York University may disclose certain information to the donor of the award, provincial funding organizations and/or York University academic departments/Faculties and Colleges, as set out below.
    • If you win a scholarship, your name and photograph may be used for promotional purposes.
